Name: Antonio
Sex: male
Age: juvenile

G. aureostriata is a terrestrial tarantula that originates from the Chaco region, which spans eastern Bolivia, northern Paraguay and northeastern Argentina. They are a larger tarantula species and adults can reach up to 8". They are a calm, docile tarantula and a good beginners species. Besides being large, the gold striping on the knees and long gold hairs coming off the abdomen are very striking! Antonio is a handleable boy and is a good eater also. He rarely turns down a meal unless he is getting ready to molt.
