This particular tarantula is a wild caught T from Oklahoma. While I do NOT advocate collecting/selling of wild caught tarantulas, this was a different situation. Her home was being bulldozed and the site of her colony destroyed.

 

These tarantulas are native to Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana. They grow to approx 5" and are long lived at 20+ years for females. They are in general a docile and handleable species. Shotgun Sally is very gentle and slow moving. Most of her body is a chocolate brown color with a light tan carapace.
