Name: Legs Diamond
Sex: mature male
Age: adult

G. rosea is a terrestrial tarantula that originates from  the borders of the Atacama Desert in southern Peru and northern Chile at least as far south as Santiago. They are a medium sized tarantula with adults being anywhere from 3" to 6". The "Chilean rose" is the most common tarantula in the pet trade and a wonderful starter tarantula. They are often known as the "pet rock" of tarantulas....they are content to be out in the open and in general, a docile tarantula. The picture above is Legs right after his ultimate molt.
