Avicularia versicolor is an aboreal tarantula that originates from the tropical areas of Martinique, Guadeloupe, and possibly the surrounding Caribbean islands. Adults size range from 5-6". The very young versicolors tend to be completely blue, and when the reach adulthood, their colors change to a lovely pink body with a blue carapace which can be seen HERE.
