Avicularia avicularia is an aboreal tarantula that originates from the tropical areas of Brazil, Trinidad, Guyana, French Guyana, Surinam, Venezuela, and throughout the Amazon Basin. Adults grow 4-5". They are a docile species, yet can be active and fast moving.
